We asked for broth to go with the meal, and it cost nearly as much as the main course. Six broths for €40 is a good price. Later that afternoon I was ill all day, vomiting and having diarrhea. It may have been the aioli in my sandwich.

The room was a decent size, at least the one I had, and came with air conditioning and a decent bathroom. It was also good value. The hostel is right on Trujillo's main square. You can get in through the bar downstairs or a small door beside it, then take the stairs up to the rooms on the second floor.

The main square location is unbeatable, and the staff are very friendly and ready to help. The beds were comfortable and everything was very clean. The rooms and bathroom are small and upstairs on the second floor. In the triple room, the extra bed is a regular bed rather than a typical sofa bed, which I appreciated.

Check the prices and reviews before you sit down. The broth was €6.50, which was outrageously expensive, and the other food came out cold. The mayonnaise in the sandwich had gone bad and was spoiled all day, on both the top and bottom. The bill was a fortune, and they didn't even offer a complimentary shot or coffee like most restaurants do. I'm never going back.

Don't go there. They overcharge, and for what you pay, they don't even give you a free lunch, or a few peanuts. Go outside and see the difference. Places like this are ruining tourism in Extremadura.
