The hosts took time to explain the main sights and share recommendations, and free parking was easy to find. The breakfast was simple but tasty. A beautiful experience, with bright, spacious, clean rooms.

The owner, an Art Professor, hand-painted the porch, doors, headboards, and other details, which made the place feel special. The hostal label doesn't do it justice: the comfort, decor, and service felt like a five-star hotel. We had comfortable beds and looked forward to breakfast, with a huge plate of fresh whole fruit, cheese, tasty coffee, and even gluten-free bread. The location is perfect in an architecturally interesting old town, and the staff couldn't do enough to help. A fabulous stay, and the most beautiful place I've ever stayed in.

We'd happily stay here again. Our room was quiet and comfortable, breakfast was good, and the restaurant suggestions were excellent. The beautiful Renaissance buildings are just up the road, and the location is very convenient. We could drive up to drop our luggage and found a parking spot outside for one night. Otherwise, there's free public parking about five minutes away.

I stayed in room #1, which was spacious, with exposed stone and painted bathroom tiles. The bed was great, and the staff were kind and helpful. I can't fathom how this is only a one-star hotel. I've stayed in quite a few four-star places that didn't meet these standards. This place is absolutely outstanding.
