Anderson City Flats

The apartments are new and have windows facing three directions. Open them all and it feels like you’re out in the street. The location is the best you can find. Check-in and checkout are easy, with the code sent over WhatsApp, and there’s daily cleaning and lots of facilities.

The flat was stylish and comfortable, and more affordable than many other places to stay, so it’s a very good option. It’s in a handsome building overlooking a busy square, with some lovely bars right there and several good restaurants nearby. From here, it’s a 15-minute walk to the Rio Turia gardens in one direction, or five minutes the other way to the plaza mayor / El Ayuntamiento. Excellent location, right in the heart of the city.

For 32 EURO, this apartment was a real surprise. The evening sun came into the living room, and there were four small balconies plus a view of The Central Market of Valencia in Centro de la Plaza. Getting the keys meant going to another spot about ten minutes away, though the apartment itself only needed two codes: one for the outer door and one for the little key box. They also ask for your passport number. Maybe send it by email and call reception first, and you could skip the 20-minute walk if you plan ahead.

A clean, comfortable place in a perfect spot. Just steer clear of the bar downstairs, Blanquita.
