Apartamento Centro Valencia old town

Everything was clean and in order, and the apartment had WiFi. I loved having it as a place to spend a vacation. I recommend it and will come back.

That little terrace on the solarium was the best part, though it was old and badly kept. The so-called barbecue was ridiculous, just a tiny egg-shaped thing on the floor that was no use at all, and the living room AC vent left the terrace soaked. The apartment itself was nothing like the photos: shabby, old, and poorly maintained, with a tiny living room and a sofa bed that had seen better days. We were locked inside when the door cylinder broke, and the owner was charming when we told him about it. Still, we felt completely ripped off. It cost far too much for what we got. The parking spot for one car on the next street was the only real positive, and it was included in the price. Getting around inside was miserable too. It's on the fifth floor, which feels like the sixth, with no elevator and stairs that are nearly impossible for some people. The loft bed was hard to climb up to. The tiny bedroom had an air conditioner that barely cooled anything. The bathroom was cramped into the kitchen, with a shower so small you couldn't turn around in and a very old, tiny sink. The kitchen didn't match the photos either and felt dangerous, with the microwave sitting over the sink under the dish rack. We were also stuck with neighbors who seemed to be stoners, so the smell of marijuana was almost always there. It's neither pretty nor ugly. No, I wasn't confused about the apartment. It could be charming given its central location, if someone put some care into it.

The rooftop terrace had a lovely view, and the apartment itself was small but nice. But the listing made it sound as though there was an elevator, and ours was on the fifth floor with none. The stairs up to the mezzanine could be a problem for some people.
