The architecture is stunning, and the Christmas decorations were lovely too. Inside, it's mostly restaurants and bars, with a few posh shops selling meat, dairy products and wine. There are also little stalls for jewelry and small pieces of art.

There's lovely architecture around the market, a bit like Gaudi's work, and some nice shops. But the best part is Horchatería Daniel and the other traditional Valencian treats. Try the nutritious, naturally vegan and nut-free-friendly drink with a farton.

The open pavilion is huge and spacious, with a broad entrance and room to wander around. There are two or three entrances, all elaborately decorated, and the market has some lovely Gaudi-style design touches.

The vendors are really friendly, and there's a huge choice: all kinds of protein, vegetables, spices, candy, drinks and wine. There are also delicious restaurants downstairs and upstairs.
