The area is lovely, with local amenities close by, and Valencia central market is just a one minute walk away. Great apartments and really friendly staff.

Getting my deposit back was the worst part. They first said it would be returned within a month, as stated in the agreement. After a month and a few days, I messaged reception on WhatsApp. They said they'd check, then told me they couldn't return the cash because I had to collect it in person. When I paid, they'd asked whether cash or card was more convenient, and I chose cash. They insisted the contract only allowed a bank transfer deposit and claimed they'd been flexible by accepting cash, which wasn't what happened. They also delayed payment because the bills hadn't arrived, despite the one-month term in the contract and no extension. In the end, they transferred the money with no explanation or apology. The receptionist was rude, saying they didn't need a reminder and knew how to do their job. They only seem flexible about the contract when it suits them. I stayed for a month in an old, uncomfortable apartment. The bed was too small for two, there were no duvet covers, the sofa was old and wouldn't unfold, and the towels were worn. The internet was terrible; I asked three times to have it fixed and nothing changed. There was mold in the bath, water splashed out of the shower door, and the kitchen had little room to prepare food. The apartment was dark because the windows faced another building, so I couldn't open the shutters much. The old town location seemed like a good idea, but wasn't for a long stay: it was noisy outside at night, with crowds shouting, there was no large supermarket nearby, and you couldn't park or even drive to the hotel. I booked through Airbnb, which was a big mistake. These flats acted more like an extra-super-luxury hotel, with all sorts of rules and agreements that hadn't been mentioned on Airbnb. After I'd paid in full, they asked me to send a scan of my document to prepare an agreement with our names and details. But when we arrived, no agreement was ready. We had to spend time reading and completing nine pages of rules for using the apartment, and then they asked for a €500 deposit. I was asked whether to pay by cash or card and chose cash. We also agreed they'd charge the deposit only if communal expenses exceeded 10% of the price. Never recommended!

We paid the sort of price for a 3-4* all inclusive hotel, but there was no cleaning, clean towels, soap, shampoo, toilet paper, or waste disposal. When we asked for toilet paper, we got a cheeky reply that there was “no more left in stock room.” There weren't any rubbish bins at the property, so we had to walk a few blocks around the city with our waste to find a bin. They'd refuse to return the deposit if we left rubbish in the apartment. Disgraceful. The two-bedroom place was advertised for five or six people, but had only one en suite and no main bathroom. People had to walk through our bedroom day and night to get to it, bringing weird noises and smells. At checkout, they kept our €200 deposit because the dishes weren't cleaned to their “standards.” The service and attitude were disgraceful. Avoid. Highly disappointing, and don't be taken in by the nice ad photos.

BEWARE! We suspect fraud and have filed charges. Flatsforyou says the bank made a mistake transferring our €500,00 deposit, but the supposed proof showed a transfer to a completely different account. They made no effort to put it right. My partner and I believe we were cheated out of the money. The company can't be trusted to return your deposit after a rental.
