Hotel Nido Malvarrosa

My girlfriend and I spent five nights here and had a wonderful time. The staff were nice, both at reception and in the cafe, and the cleaning was no trouble to arrange when needed. We just had to ask at reception about dishes, and they lent us whatever they had. It worked great for us. Thanks, and hopefully we’ll come back sometime.

The location worked well for us, with Malvarrosa Beach about 750 meters away and easy to reach on foot. There are quite a few homeless people in the area, and some may sleep near the back of the hotel, which can feel uncomfortable when walking around. It wasn’t a concern when using a car. The hotel is modern, clean, and well maintained, with good housekeeping and friendly, helpful reception staff. For a longer stay, the facilities are great: a gym, café for meals, coworking space, and secure underground parking with EV charging. The little kitchen is the weak point, since it has no pans, pots, or basics like a wine opener. Still, I’d highly recommend it for the comfort, cleanliness, and facilities.

There’s a comfortable bed, a nice beach nearby, and a good gym. But this is more like a student complex than a hotel. Music blared late at night and early in the morning, and the bathroom water pressure was awful. We had to keep asking for clean towels, and the rooms weren’t properly cleaned before or during our stay.

We had no problems at all, despite being a little skeptical after reading the bad reviews here. The room and hotel were really clean. There was some noise on just one night, but nothing too bad. Everything worked out great for us.
