Room Mate Kramer

Our room was small but cozy, and the bed was wonderful. The bar food was excellent too. We tried most of the menu and found it all very tasty. Gabriel at the bar is the best, and the chef works magic with the food. I'd warmly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Valencia.

We were a family of four and spent six days at Kramer without a single problem. The rooms were large, very clean, and had a warm atmosphere. There was a good choice of meals and free coffee every day. Buses make it easy to get around Valencia, with stops across the street. The reception team was kind and happy to share information about staying in the city. A big thank you! 😀😀😀😀😀😀!!! If I travel to Valencia again, I'll choose this hotel again.

I got stuck in the elevator on the second day of my stay, returning from lunch. It stopped between the 3rd and 4th floors. There had already been elevator problems the day before, and I don't know how long this had been going on. I called the elevator emergency number, but nobody answered. I pressed the bell button four times and got no response. Eventually I called my friend, who was already in the room. She came down and told the staff I was stuck. Nobody came to reassure me. They said the technician would arrive in about half an hour, but it took almost an hour. Once the doors opened, I was lifted up, and the technician just shouted from another floor, “Quick, jump out.” The floor wasn't level. My things were on the floor, so I grabbed them quickly and jumped out. After all that, I couldn't get into my room on the 4th floor because both my card and my friend's card had been blocked. She couldn't get in either. I called reception from the phone, but nobody responded or helped. I had to go down the emergency stairs, stressed and unattended, and still couldn't get into my room. It felt like they saw this as an ordinary daily occurrence and paid no attention. The receptionist said the cards were our fault because we'd kept them next to a phone and they had become demagnetized. That seems almost impossible these days. They also refused to put me in touch with a manager. It was lunchtime on Labor Day, and apparently the manager wasn't available. The next morning, the manager apologized, but also asked why I'd been angry and shouted at the receptionist. She said there would be no compensation. They even charged me 2.2 eur for my morning coffee. She offered to refund the last night if I wasn't comfortable staying there, so I took it and moved to another hotel. I still can't believe nobody knew how to handle a stressful situation. The only person who stayed calm and knew how to speak to me was a bartender, who calmed me down on the day it happened. The elevators had no technical check-up stickers. One had a sticker from 2024, and the other, the one I was trapped in, had one from 2025 Dec, with check-ups every two weeks. That also seemed strange. There were dust balls all over the systems and dust on the cables. It feels like the next step is a fire!
