The POD Suite Hostel Blasco

I had red spots appear on my skin after staying here. The bed looked clean, but it left me concerned about the hygiene and whether there might be insects in the bedding. The bathroom setup was also confusing. There are three rooms, but the only women's toilet is inside one of them. Guests in the other two rooms have to use the accessible toilet for both the toilet and shower. I tried my key on the room with the women's toilet and couldn't get in. The men's toilet, meanwhile, is separate and outside. They didn't check IDs when we arrived, which also made me uneasy about safety.

Really good experience, and the place was absolutely clean. The pod area had a nice vibe, and the reception person was friendly and showed me around. There was a hairdryer, towel, shower products including soap, shampoo and conditioner, plus a fridge, washing machine and dryer. I could ask the receptionist anything. They also let me leave my luggage before check-in and after check-out, which was very nice.

The pod setup was pretty nice: you could control the lights and curtains from your bed, and the technology worked well. Check-in was easy, too. The locker situation was a letdown, though. There were lockers, but their keys wouldn't lock them, and there wasn't one for every bed. Both men's showers had problems, so I ended up using the women's. The restrooms were quite dirty after the cleaners had been through. The place is tucked into a passageway.

For a hostel, this was five stars for me. Great location, and the bed's electric curtains gave it privacy. The bathroom could use a bit more attention, since a few small things need fixing.
