The location made it easy to enjoy the city on foot. We were between the cathedral and Plaça de l'Ajuntament, with cafes, shops, and good restaurants all around. We never needed the metro, and stepping out for tapas or late-night churros was effortless. Natalia was lovely and recommended some great places to eat. This is a spacious, charming place in a very old building, with high ceilings, wide doors, and the original floors still in place. The kitchen and bathroom have been updated, the kitchen has plenty of equipment, and the shower gets really warm. The bedrooms were lovely too, especially the original wooden ceiling in the main one. It felt like staying in a palace. The beds are soft and comfortable, though morning noise meant we couldn’t sleep in. It’s elegant and authentic, a unique place with character, rather than a polished modern boutique hotel. I had a chance to feel like Valencian upper class, and we had a really nice stay. One small annoyance, the second-floor door is hard to open and very loud when it closes.

Communication with them was really difficult, and it felt like they only wanted to make money, not talk with renters or tourists. We also had to pay half the neighbors’ utility costs, even though they were a family of four and there were only two of us. Then they wanted to charge us €40 for internet, which we found was shared with the neighbors too. The service was horrible. Be warned.

Valencia is absolutely worth visiting, but I wouldn’t choose this property again. The central location was the one bright spot, and it didn’t make up for the many problems. We were there for three nights and four days, and the place looked nothing like the booking photos. The bathroom was tiny and run-down, with damaged, rusty fixtures. The house was so dirty that we had to buy cleaning products and detergents to make it as hygienic as we could. We reported the problems and the differences from what was shown right away. They didn’t fix anything, and the replies we got were rude. In hindsight, this is a choice we definitely wouldn’t repeat.
