The location was terrific, and the ground-floor cafe was great. My room was clean and a good size, and they let me keep my bike in it. Staff also helped arrange a taxi that could take my bike to the nearby railway station for my onward journey. I enjoyed the stay, though I could hear a family with very young children across the corridor. That wasn't so good, and could probably be designed out relatively easily.

We've stayed here twice now. Our room had a really large terrace with a view, and was spotless and quiet. The beds were large and medium-firm, and the room size was perfect. There's a cafe, bar, and restaurant on site, and the lifts came very quickly. The hotel is a stone's throw from the main bus and train stations on one side, and the city centre on the other.

The staff are welcoming and friendly, and the double-glazed windows keep traffic noise down. Still, I wouldn't return. It's within walking distance of the city centre and adequate for a night, but very basic for a longer stay, with no extra amenities apart from the bar. The rooms are basic too, and breakfast is very basic.

Breakfast was adequate, but the coffee was the worst of any hotel we stayed at during our past 80 days in Europe. Breakfast isn't free unless it's included in the room rate. The bathroom sink and shower have useless foam soap dispensers, with no small shampoo containers or bar soap. Most of all, it was 32°C outside and 30°C in our room, with no AC, so it wasn't comfortable. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else.

The staff gave me a city map and explained the main attractions, recommending Parque Campo Grande, Plaza Zorilla, Plaza Mayor, and Valladolid Cathedral as places to visit on foot. The hotel is very close to Parque Campo Grande, Plaza Mayor, and Valladolid Cathedral. I stopped here for a night on the way from Lourdes to Fatima, and enjoyed both the stay and the food.
