There’s a nice terrace, but the sofa is dirty with bird droppings. Inside, there’s a strong musty smell, dated pre-war furniture, and precarious electrical wiring. Apart from a cute fountain, I didn’t find anything special about visiting this hilltop village, so I wouldn’t recommend it. 👎

The owner was delightful, and the house had everything we needed. We especially enjoyed the magnificent patio. It’s right by the little village square, with restaurants for tapas or larger meals, and there’s also a lovely tannery with a spectacular terrace. I’d definitely come back.

Andrea was so attentive to every detail, and such a delightful host. She accepts pets, which mattered to us on this trip. Casa del Abuelo is a beautiful, clean guesthouse with a rustic Vejer feel, right near Plaza España in the heart of the old town. She showed us other rooms too, and we left wanting to return. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

The house itself is cozy and quite nice, with a terrace and lovely views. But getting there could be a problem if you have lots of luggage: you can’t drive up to it, so you have to park at the very bottom of the village and walk uphill. It’s all hills.

The service was outstanding, and everything we needed was there. My partner and I stayed with our dog, and we loved it. It’s a charming, romantic spot for two people and a pet, close to the main square, with a very pretty patio.
