Hotel La Brasa

Jorge is such a warm, welcoming host, and a real asset to the team. He pays attention to everything and is lovely to be around. I always enjoy visiting La Brasa, a friendly place with great food and plenty of laughter. I'd highly recommend a visit.

We booked the day before and ordered four Cochinillo in advance, but after an incredibly long wait of an hour and a half, we were told only two were available. We also found a piece of plastic bag in one of the dishes. Sorry, guys, this was a really bad experience. We'd been here a couple of times before and it was okay, but we won't be coming back.

La Brasa was recommended for lunch, and the restaurant lived up to expectations. It's on the old Granada road and has a castle-like exterior, with a medieval style running through the hotel and restaurant decor. I can't speak to the hotel itself, but the menu had enough options, the food was tasty and well prepared, and all the staff were helpful and friendly. We'd definitely recommend it to our friends.

The portions are generous, so we were glad we skipped an appetizer. I had the grilled suckling pig, which was juicy with crisp skin. The staff were friendly, attentive, and well trained, and the place is truly one of a kind. We stopped after often passing that castle-like building, went inside, and opened the door to “Comedor.” A grand Knights’ Hall appeared, and someone quickly showed us to a free table. They set down an impressive sharp meat knife, and the “bit of bread” they brought was actually half a loaf. I'd give it a 4.5.
