The food downstairs was a real change from bocadillos and potato pies: hot, not over-spiced, and so tender it melted in my mouth. There’s a pilgrim menu, combo plates, and plenty of sides. The hostal also has a full bar and takeaway snacks, including chips and lots of ice cream. Rooms were lovely and clean, with fantastic shower pressure, and the restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating. There’s an ancient church with amazing carvings within 50m of the seating area. Service was very good. Speaking Spanish helps, but you don’t need to. Easily one of my best stops on the trail. Highly recommend!

The room was excellent and clean, and we really liked the food. Staff were welcoming and very helpful. Once the lunchtime Camino traffic had passed, though, the village felt eerily quiet.

The food was all prepared in a spotlessly clean place, and the person who cooked it was super friendly, though sadly I didn’t catch her name. We dropped in for a late Camino lunch, and Manuel made the visit a joy. He speaks a little of eight or nine languages and has walked the Camino seven times himself. He’s clearly committed to his business and especially to pilgrims. He was patient while we chose what to eat, and his great sense of humour kept us smiling. Don’t pass this place by if you want a real treat. 🥰

Should’ve kept walking. I ordered coffee and tostada con tomate, but paid the same €5 as the offer that also included zumo and mermelada. That already felt expensive. What arrived was four tiny slices of barra de pan with one small tray of tomato and olive oil, and it wasn’t even fresh. They also insisted I pay right away, as if they didn’t trust me. Total ripoff.

We got dinner at an odd time for them, and they still cooked for us. The food was great, the price was decent, and the staff were great and spoke English with us. Our room was spacious, clean, and had a lovely hot shower. A great stop for pilgrims, highly recommended.
