La Llosuca

Both times I stayed here were fabulous. The scenery is breathtaking, and the place felt like a mansion set right in the middle of the most beautiful landscape.

San Pedro de Ambas is full of quiet country lanes, and being so close to the historic Saint James Way (Camino de Santiago) makes it feel like stepping into another time. La Llosuca and the stone house El Corredor sit among gentle hills between Spain's northern coast and the Cantabrian mountains. They're a lovely base for nearby Asturian towns and countryside, or a quiet escape into Asturias' storybook scenery. Inside, the internet and kitchen amenities are excellent, and the cozy living room, comfortable bedrooms, private bathrooms, and roomy showers bring the modern comforts you'd expect in a city. It works well for solo stays, families, or groups. Villaviciosa is nearby too, with plenty of food, entertainment, culture, and sights to explore. Staying at La Llosuca will add a lot to a trip in Asturias.

The owners were incredibly warm and friendly, and made us feel at home. The house was spotless in every room, with thoughtful details throughout, and it's well placed for exploring Asturias. We had an incredible weekend and will definitely return. Shame there's no six star rating.

We stayed in the house for 8, two couples with children, and found it really nice. It has three bedrooms, two double rooms and one that sleeps four, plus three full bathrooms. The enclosed inner patio was lovely and gave us a secure place for the little ones, and there were lots of board games. Dogs are welcome if you ask, and the owners are warm and friendly. The property sits in a small village just a few kilometers from Villaviciosa, with parking in front shared with the other rural house owned by the same people. The other house sleeps 16. Highly recommended.
