There was no atmosphere at all. The rooms were bare and old, though fairly priced, and the town centre is about a 30 minute walk away. Buses run regularly if you'd rather ride. A pleasant woman checked me in, but a man aggressively tried his key in my door an hour before checkout, which I really didn't like. Finding the place was confusing because there was no sign, so I had to call and was told to ring an apartment buzzer. It felt a bit shady. They said parking was available, but the lot was full, unsecured, and two blocks away. With a car, there's nowhere to stop while you go inside to check in. It seems they've rented the neighboring apartment and are letting out its rooms. The place was sold out, so perhaps Zaragoza was short on accommodation.

The room was tidy and clean, with a freezer, TV, wardrobe, bedside and TV cabinets. The soft mattress and pillow were comfortable, and may have been replaced with softer ones, as other reviewers suggested. There was a supermarket and cafe downstairs, which was handy. At €35, it was generally good value, even though we'd booked a private bathroom and were given one shared between two rooms. The receptionist arranged for the neighboring room to remain unoccupied, so the bathroom was effectively private. Parking was the main drawback. Street parking was difficult, and the nearest garage, by the train station, was about a 10 minute walk and cost €17.25 per day for 12 hours or more.

What a faff trying to find a parking spot, and then the place itself! They don't accept cards, so bring cash. The stay was okay, just really, really hot! 🥵

A cheap place to hole up overnight, with just the basics. It was clean and the hosts were pleasant. That pillow was so hard I won't forget it, or what it did to my left ear.
