Momona Hotel

The pool was warm, uncrowded, and had amazing music, which made my visit to Momona Hotel relaxing. I went for a swim and a foot massage, but the masseuse wasn’t available when I asked.

The people were nice, but I expected a cleaner room for what I paid. The “deluxe” room had water leaking in the bathroom and pooling by the door, an odd smell that I guessed came from the carpet, poor ventilation, and a toilet that wouldn’t flush. I found a guest house a few meters away that was 25 percent cheaper and 100% cleaner. I’d reserved and paid for the room three days before check-in, but on arrival they couldn’t find the booking and kept me waiting.

The stairway was so dark that I nearly fell, and the lift was out of order. There was little working electricity, no water, and no ventilation. Fasil, who said he was the manager, was rude and spoke to customers poorly. Other guests were upset too, and some left without help or a refund. This was the worst hotel experience I’ve had. I strongly recommend #not staying here.

The booking was for more than a week, but the property had no running water and its electricity had been cut when we arrived. With the power off, the lift didn’t work and the stairs had no lights. We asked for our money back and the establishment refused. The lack of water made the property unusable, and the customer service was extremely poor. Fasil, in particular, was rude.
