We had a layover on our way to Zanzibar. The rooms were huge and the views were nice, and the location wasn’t bad. The staff were super friendly, but housekeeping was a total shambles and the rooms were extremely dusty. This hotel has a lot of potential; they need to clean it more and can do better.

The bathroom was very dirty, and the receptionists were angry and unwelcoming. I asked several times for help connecting to WiFi and nobody helped. They also wouldn’t let me bring snacks into my own room because they wanted me to buy them from their market. Very, very bad service.

The room was massive, but there was no AC. Staff were great and always helped with a smile. As a transit passenger, I found it seemed farther from the airport than other hotels, and the location felt a little dodgy. The restaurant food was just okay, barely there.

I had arranged for the airport shuttle, but they forgot to pick me up, so I waited an hour for them to arrive even though it’s a 15 minute drive. The manager also insisted the rooms were soundproof, which was plainly untrue. A very loud nightclub at the bottom of the hotel runs seven nights a week until 6am, and I could clearly hear the music even on the 9th floor. The WiFi was incredibly inconsistent too. The location is decent and most of the other staff were nice, but I wish I could give this place zero stars. Do not stay here.
