We stayed in the luxury suite, which was nice, and the hotel is built with quality materials. The staff were friendly and service minded. A bus stop for minibuses and regular buses is right outside, if you know how to use them. The problem is the place doesn’t seem maintained, and it promises much more than it delivers. We booked with a “deluxe buffet breakfast included,” but there was no food and we never saw anyone in the restaurant. An information folder said food could be ordered as room service, but that isn’t a buffet breakfast. The spa was empty. Maybe you could arrange a massage through reception, but the place didn’t look very inviting. The pool had brown silt on the bottom, and I never saw anyone try to fix it. If you find a good price and just want a safe room to sleep in, it could work.

The people were nice and the service was good overall. The room was very nice and roomy, but during the rainy season it was cold, and we spent two nights without hot water. We were told it would be fixed, but nobody came. Breakfast was okay, though it wasn’t a buffet and there were very few choices to order from. I’m not much of a breakfast person, but I did expect hot water.

Some staff couldn’t understand English, but they still made an effort to help me. Everyone was hospitable, and the manager was an amazing woman who went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and comfortable. Thank you so much!
