Victoria Guesthouse

The shuttle was clean and very good, and Eyob was a pleasant driver. I also appreciated management letting me check out late since my flight was in the evening. I stayed at Victory Guesthouse Apartments for five days in May 2022 and was very happy there. On checkout day I’d left my wallet on the counter, assuming nobody would clean the room. When I returned, it had been cleaned and nothing was missing. The staff’s honesty stood out. I learned management treats the staff like family, which helped explain their loyalty to the place. Kudos to the owner and management. Thanks to everyone for making those five days comfortable. I’d stay again when I’m in Addis and recommend the guesthouse to anyone travelling to Addis Ababa. I booked this place for my parents while they were visiting. They’re usually five-star hotel people, but they were really happy here. The rooms were nice, the owner was kind, and the location was great. It’s a busy area, yet it wasn’t too noisy.

After being away from Addis for more than twenty years, going back was quite an experience. One of the best parts was staying at Victoria Guest House. The place was very neat, and the staff made us feel welcome while staying professional. Room service was available around the clock, and there were lots of shopping areas close by. The WiFi in our room was excellent. It’s near AU and the airport, and generally a comfortable place for anyone to stay.

Watch out if you’re visiting in the cold season, and make sure your room has hot water. I had none for two of my three nights. Reception sent someone up twice, and they got lukewarm water going, but by the time I was ready to shower it was freezing again. They refused to move me at first. After a heated discussion and calls to a senior executive, they finally changed my room.
