Hotel Finn

The room was clean, quiet, and cozy, and the hotel had a relaxed, welcoming feel with good value for money. What I'll remember most, though, is the service from Sara at reception. From the moment I arrived, Sarah was warm and professional. She helped with local recommendations and logistics, and was always attentive and friendly. She made me feel like a valued friend, and I could tell she cared about her work. I'm already looking forward to staying at Hotel FINN again on my next Helsinki visit. The location is central, the rooms are comfortable, and Sarah's service was outstanding.

Sara was exceptionally friendly and informative, and kept reminding us how to collect the keys if we arrived after hours. We were also upgraded for free to a bigger room with another space for a bed. Both the room and bed were clean, and it's conveniently located next to Stockmann. A great family hotel. Thanks 🙏

The location was a 10/10, with the city easy to explore on foot and no need for public transport. But our standard twin room was very cold even with every heater turned up. I slept in fleece pajamas and managed, but my boyfriend was freezing without them. The pillows were uncomfortable, and the duvets didn't keep the cold out. There was also a disgusting sewer smell from the bathroom, just 5 cm from the bed. We were on the sixth floor, and I don't know what caused it, but even going into the bathroom was unpleasant. We stayed for two days.

This hotel works well if you're mostly out exploring and plan to eat elsewhere. It's centrally located, with nearly all tourist sights within a 15-minute walk, and food, a pharmacy, and a market nearby. The price is in a normal range for the area. We booked the cheapest room with joined beds as a couple. It was so small that more than one large suitcase would make it hard to move around. The toilet and room were clean, and daily cleaning was available. The bathroom was spacious enough, had a bidet and heated floors that helped it dry after a shower. The room itself had no floor heating, and we had no view, though that didn't matter since we weren't in the room much. There was no fridge, proper eating or study table, or closet. A tiny table was there, but it wasn't useful. The room had a hair dryer, hand and body towels for each person, a small kettle, and a small glass for each person. In the little lobby, you could take complimentary coffee, black tea, or herbal tea in a paper cup when coming or going. There was also an elevator, but it was small, fitting only two people and small bags. The umbrellas in the lobby were a thoughtful touch for our fall visit.
