There’s lovely scenery and nearby nature to walk in, with a lake and a spot for open-water swimming too. The cottages were clean, the service was good, and I’d definitely recommend the place.

The cottages have been around for a while, kind of like me!

We were happy with our stay, though the old sofa seat was dirty and seemed to have had pets on it. It’s due for an update. A protective cover for guests to use might help keep it cleaner.

The setting is lovely, with beautiful nature and a relaxing beach, but the place also felt oddly lifeless and stagnant to us. We were three, and I can’t see six people fitting comfortably. Two would have to sleep in a bunk bed in a separate small room, and there are only four seats in the kitchen, living area, and on the veranda. Two veranda chairs were broken as well. The place needs renovation. The dishes and dishwasher need attention, as do the beds and mattresses. I also wondered why the beach sauna doesn’t have separate women’s and men’s shifts. Instead, the whole sauna has to be rented at an expensive price, and it was sitting empty. And why is the pub café open only Fridays and Saturdays during the best part of summer vacation? Why not invest in the place?
