The mökki was excellent and in a great spot. We really enjoyed the sauna and palju, and swimming in the stream was lovely too.

Nice, cozy cabins with good spaces and cooking facilities. They were clean and stayed cool even in the summer heat.

We came back for a second stay, and I’m sure it won’t be our last. We had a larger group last time, and I think the cottage is at its best when it isn’t completely full. The hot tub, or palju, was a big reason we chose it again. At another cottage earlier this year, the tub was farther away, and I used it much less. Here we started heating it most mornings, then enjoyed it while watching the last sunsets of summer and the clear, starry sky. The nearby road was a bit noisy. We didn’t notice it with more people around on our first visit, but with just the two of us this time it stood out more. A Bluetooth speaker was handy for masking the car sounds. Of the two saunas, my favorite is the outdoor one, known from its time on Big Brother Finland. The indoor sauna has more of that “real sauna” feeling, though the stairs up to the seats aren’t very comfortable late in the evening. I’d give the place 10+. The only downside is that renting the hot tub makes a longer stay REALLY expensive. If you can overlook the cost, there’s nothing wrong with the place. See you next time.
