Lomamokkila

The lakeside setting was one of the best parts, and guests can use a boat for free to explore the lake at their own pace. We stayed at B&B Lomamokkila, where the cottage had stunning views and a beautiful, peaceful environment. The lush greenery and tranquil surroundings made for a relaxing getaway, and Savonlinna’s natural beauty was right there to enjoy. The property was clean and well maintained, and the hosts clearly take pride in making guests comfortable. It was an incredible and memorable stay, with the cottage fitting naturally into the landscape.

We spent a wonderful summer here swimming, fishing, biking, using the sauna, playing yard games, hiking in national parks, and grilling in the garden. The food was tasty, varied regional cooking. The host family was warm, super friendly, helpful, and attentive to us as individuals. For a family with children, the calm, safe location and cleanliness mattered a lot. The garden, forest, and clean lake make a lovely rural idyll, and sweet highland cows wander around the yard. This hidden paradise is cared for with love and respect for the family’s history and cultural heritage. It feels authentic and one of a kind, and the place and family welcome guests with real warmth. We’ll definitely come again!

A lovely place to get away from city noise, whether for a vacation or a staycation. The hospitality was amazing, and nature offers so much here. There’s a whole lake to yourself for swimming, rowing, fishing, or grilling.

The room stayed clean and cool even though it was hot during our visit. Breakfast was generous, including pastries baked right there. The property is beautiful, with plenty to do, from the private beach and tennis to cycling. It’s easy to find just outside Savonlinna. A very nice bed and breakfast, and I’d happily recommend it.
