Lossiranta Lodge

The view was nice and the hosts were kind and friendly, but that was about all I liked. You can get an even better look at the castle from the public path in front of the property, any time of day, for free. The room really took away from the stay. It smelled strongly of damp and mold, and the carpets were dirty. I struggled to breathe for the first two nights, and the towels were rough and smelled bad. The WiFi never worked either. We were offered the on-site sauna and jacuzzi, which sounded great, then charged €45 at checkout. Maybe I was naive, but I wish they’d mentioned the price when offering them. In most places in Finland, the sauna is included in the room price. After reading so many good reviews, I was really disappointed. I paid €850 for four nights at Lossiranta and didn’t get what I expected for that price. I’d suggest looking for a cheaper place a little farther away or around the harbour, where at least the basics are covered.
