It has been closed and deteriorating quickly since around 2015. The resort is abandoned and in serious disrepair, though it makes an interesting place to explore. A few local villagers are paid to keep an eye on things, since the bures are full of furniture and the owners apparently don't want anything to disappear. It seems the offshore owners are using it as a tax deduction. Lawaki Beach House around the corner is open and an excellent place to stay.
