Sofitel Fiji Resort & Spa

The staff welcomed us warmly from the start, especially Livaii, who was friendly and attentive throughout. The grounds were beautifully kept, with lovely pools and peaceful beachfront views. Our room was comfortable, spacious, and clean, with a balcony and everything we needed. Housekeeping kept it looking good each day. A special thank you to Ushaant Pratap, the Executive Housekeeper / Compliance Manager, and his team. They beautifully decorated the rooms for my sister’s anniversary, and I really appreciate all their effort. Vinaka Vakalevu. We enjoyed the range of food and drinks, especially the breakfast spread and the relaxed bars. Waitui Beach Club was a peaceful adults-only spot. The beach is better for relaxing than swimming, but the pools and other facilities make up for that. Sofitel Fiji gave us a luxurious, memorable holiday, and we’d happily recommend it to families, couples, or first-time visitors to Fiji.

The main lagoon pool was shut for a major renovation when we visited in the first week of February, during the off-season. We used the adults-only pool in another wing instead. The change was handled well, but it’s sensible to check which facilities are open if you’re booking in the low season. Sofitel Fiji Resort & Spa felt fresher and more modern than some of the older resorts nearby, with updated rooms that felt in keeping with a five-star hotel. Its Denarau Island location was handy for Nadi, the Marina, other five-star resorts, shopping, and island tours. There were fun pool activities for children, and they especially loved the complimentary massage, a thoughtful and unusual treat. The Kids Beach Club does charge per session, though. That’s an extra cost to plan for, since we’d usually expect a kids’ club to be included at a five-star resort. The facilities made the fee worthwhile for us.

We come back to Sofitel every year because the whole team makes us feel so welcome. Ozy and his Concierge team greeted us with so much cheer as soon as we arrived. From the Waitui and restaurant staff to the cleaning team, gardeners, and chefs, everyone gives us the same five-star treatment year after year. I’d highly recommend it.

The people working at Sofitel were among the best I’ve come across. They were efficient and always ready to help, with a big smile and the loudest, happiest Bula. It’s infectious. Thanks for the hospitality, Sofitel Fiji Resort and Spa. Vinaaka! We’ve just got back and already miss the place. The stay was comfortable and joyful, and there are great restaurant choices for buffet or a la carte meals. Breakfast had such a wide selection that we left full and feeling spoiled. There’s also a pillow shop where you can pick out one that suits your comfort at no extra cost. My kids and I found pillows we liked and were very happy with them. There was plenty of seating around the nice pool for lounging, private beach access, and a live band in the evenings. The facilities were fantastic, and families with kids have even more reason to consider staying here.
