Those days surrounded by rainforest and quiet nature were exactly the reset I needed. I stayed for 7 days on my own, mostly to scuba dive, and went out almost every day. The coral reefs and all the marine life were even more stunning than I expected, and the 2x Bull Shark dives were incredible too. I’m a beginner surfer, but the crew did everything they could to get me out for a few sessions. I had a lot of fun. Back at the resort, things felt homely, clean, and cared for, and the staff made me feel like part of the family. The meals were great and they accommodated my vegetarian needs really well. Thanks to Beth, Sandy, Vilde, Ryan, and Mr. Mark for the kava ceremony and coconut lesson. Such a fun, authentic part of the stay. I’d happily return to Waidroka Resort for another chance to relax and recharge.

The shark dives were world-class, which was the main reason I came to Waidroka, and the team took great care of us. The food was amazing too. It’s tucked away off the main road, with a real away-from-it-all feel. There aren’t Fiji’s sandy beaches here, but the warm hospitality and friendly team more than made up for that. They can arrange plenty of activities as well. I’d gladly visit again.

A lovely spot to unwind, tucked well off the beaten track. The road in is 4km of unsealed road. I heard the shark Devin is good, and it’s also a great place if you surf or snorkel. The staff are very, very friendly and greet you by name.

For an active getaway with diving, surfing, and that sort of thing, this resort is hard to beat. It gets things right on nearly every front.

The diving was better than I expected, and the shark dives were well organised. We felt very safe. I chose a smaller resort because I like more personal service, and that’s what we got here. Dinner had a different menu each night, and the food was very good. Everyone was excellent, from management and the dive and boat crews to the bar and restaurant teams, yoga instructor, and friendly grounds staff. It was a wonderful getaway, and another place we won’t forget. I recommend staying here.
