We booked online through Booking.com after our flight from Nadi to Auckland was canceled on 7 April because a cyclone was passing. It took two hours to get a room, since the front desk couldn't confirm our booking even though I showed them the confirmation. The front desk staff seemed to have little idea about customer service. They kept lying about things we asked and argued instead of helping. Thank you to Ana masere for stepping in. If she hadn't been there, we'd have waited hours just to get the booking confirmed. The room wasn't up to standard: there was no power or water, and we found bed bugs and mosquitoes. Staff offered no help or suggestions. It was the worst service I've experienced, and I don't understand why there's no backup generator when the power goes out. I won't recommend this hotel to anyone.

We'd booked three rooms for a quick overnight with friends because it's close to the airport. After carrying our bags up two flights of stairs, we found all three rooms smelled strongly of mold. None was fit to stay in, even for one night. There were cockroaches all over the bathrooms, and the bedding looked unclean. We quickly found another place before anyone had an asthma attack, lugged our bags back downstairs, and paid for a different hotel rather than risk staying. Worst accommodation ever. DO NOT STAY.

The worst part was the lack of care when things went wrong. In the morning I asked for an iron and waited half an hour while staff smoked and drank, only to be told, “Sorry, no iron lewa.” We decided to leave. The receptionist said we couldn’t get a refund because we’d stayed the night, but thankfully we did get our money back. We were there in 2022 because hotels around Nadi were full. Our room was on the top floor, with stairs and no easy way up. It was wet and strongly scented when we arrived, supposedly because it had just been cleaned. That night the air conditioner was freezing and not working properly. Around 1:30 a.m. someone knocked loudly, and when we opened the door a worker came into the room. He said it had easy access to the hotel bar by the sliding aluminum door, and didn’t apologize. We asked to move rooms. A woman took us to another one, where I stepped on a piece of glass. At reception, the carpet was covered in mud and gum. We also found the room’s easy access to the bar unsettling. I’m not trying to be rude, and I know running a hotel is hard, but please improve the quality.

We only needed a room for one night before our connecting flight, with lots of luggage and duty-free bags. They kept insisting we leave our bags in the office, but we wanted to take them to the room. Then they led us up stairs to the wrong room, and there’s no lift. The room was filthy: the toilet was dirty, the blanket hadn’t been vacuumed properly, and there was hair tangled into the floor rug. They also charged extra for food from the same menu sold next door, claiming they’d get it from Maccas. I don’t think Maccas sells chilli chicken or BBQ food. We managed to get through one night and leave. For a longer stay, I’d avoid this place and go to Tokatoka. It’s so disgusting I’m not sure it should be called a hotel.

I chose this place for its price and proximity to the airport, but I should have paid a little more to stay elsewhere. My room was dark, with no natural light, and dirty. There was grime around the bathtub, the shower was old and barely usable, and neither the TV nor the fridge worked. The payment was another hassle. I booked through Expedia and got an approval email, but at check-in they said my card had been declined. Tired from traveling, I paid cash and went to bed. The next day I explained the mix-up and was told they’d sort it out. I waited all day and had to remind him again before my money was refunded. I also reported the TV and fridge problems; someone was supposedly coming right up, but nobody came. I had only one day left and didn’t want to make a fuss. I stayed three nights on my way home. I’d advise spending your money elsewhere. This was the worst hotel experience I’ve had.
