We spent a week at Fiji Lodge Vosa Ni Ua with our family, and it was the highlight of our three weeks in Fiji. Clark welcomed us like family and pointed out good snorkeling spots. The coral right by the beach next to the house was lovely. He also offered us several extra activities, including stand-up paddleboarding, SUP kiteboarding, and ukulele lessons. Our lodge was a well-equipped house with three bedrooms, a kitchen, bathroom, separate toilet, huge dining room, and large veranda. It had a stunning view, and we enjoyed sunbathing in the garden. The caretaker, a very friendly Fijian lady, cleaned regularly, did our laundry, and made breakfast for a small extra fee. One evening her family cooked us a delicious traditional "Lovo" meal. There is plenty to do nearby. We went canoeing on a saltwater river and lake, and Savusavu has restaurants and shops where you can get supplies to cook. A public bus stops beside the house, and taxis are available, though we preferred having a rental car. I highly recommend Vosa Ni Ua.

Clark made my time in Fiji much better. He showed me good places to snorkel and even gave me a quick ukulele lesson. The beach is right across the street, and you can hear the waves from the room. The room itself was spacious, comfortable, and well equipped, and the Wi-Fi was surprisingly great. I loved staying here and would definitely recommend it.

Clark, the owner, and Eliza, the caretaker, were quick to respond to my questions and any problems I raised. The price was very reasonable. I stayed several nights at Vosa Nui Fiji Lodge on Vanua Levu, around 20-30 minutes by car from Savusavu and about 20 minutes from the airport. The lodge is across the road from the beach, up a driveway of roughly 150 feet. There are several remodeled Bures as well as a three-bedroom house. The house is roomy but older, with some threadbare sofas and chairs, and it has a full kitchen with a gas stove. Its broad deck faces the beach, as does one of the bedrooms.

The room had cooking facilities, so I'd suggest buying groceries in town before you check in. The phone reception was poor, but Wi-Fi was available, so it wasn't much of an issue for me. It's a quiet, peaceful spot with a clean, roomy room and a comfortable bed. The owner and staff were nice. He offered a ukulele class and an afternoon snorkeling trip. The lodge is a 17-minute drive from central Savusavu, with buses and taxis passing now and then during the day. I had a pleasant stay.

They have a single kayak you can use for free, and snorkeling gear is also available at no charge. The setup is really great, with the beach just across the road.
