Capricorn Hotel Suva

The staff were generally okay, though not especially friendly. We spent three nights at Capricorn and would recommend it. Our room was roomy, clean, and comfortable, with a full kitchen and utensils. It sits at the top of a steep hill in a part of town that gets quiet at night. Walking back from dinner felt a little uncomfortable, though we were ultimately okay.

The staff were mostly alright, except for the older woman supervisor, who was very disrespectful. The WiFi was awful, only 0.1 mb download speed. My first room had mold all over it, so I was moved, but the next room had someone’s pubic hair in the sheets. My towel had some unknown stain on it, and the sheets were badly stained too. Dust covered the AC filter and had me coughing all day. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel.

We only lasted a few hours before finding bed bugs all over the wooden counter, bed, and shelf. The other room we were offered had the same problem, so we left in the middle of the night without a refund or another place to stay, and had to drive all the way back. The staff were good, but the owner was terrible.

The older woman at reception should leave dealing with guests to the other staff. The towels and sheets were grey instead of white and need replacing. The room staff kept switching everything off, even the phone chargers. Leave them alone!!
