Manta Ray Bay Resort

The operation has a boutique, family feel, and all the staff do a wonderful job. I spent a week there for MantaFest 2025 and got to talk with several excellent photographers, which really helped me with my GoPro filming. I also made new friends I’ll definitely stay in touch with. Diving with Bill was a highlight: he’s a super chill dive master, and the regular dives lasted 80+ minutes. His knowledge of Yap and attitude toward diving are priceless. The United flight times are annoying, but MRB Resort is flexible. Switching my Blackwater dive for a night dive was no problem at all. Breakfast pancakes were awesome. Firing the happyhour canon is a riot, though it’s surprisingly loud up close. 😁

We were able to focus on the adventure without worrying about logistics, thanks to the well-organized transfer from the hotel to the beach. The dive sites nearby were beautiful and easy to reach by boat. MantaFest also brought lots of fun and energy to our stay, with clear planning behind the event, excellent local beer, and plenty of delicious food options. We stayed at Manta Ray Bay Resort with our family in August. The family running the hotel welcomed us warmly and made guests of all ages feel cared for. The place has a charming, relaxing atmosphere, and our well-maintained room had everything we needed. It’s child-friendly too, and our kid felt welcome and enjoyed the pool. We left refreshed and already looking forward to coming back. Highly recommended for divers, families, or anyone needing a relaxing stay.

We went diving with Yap divers. The dives were wonderful and everything was well organized. I didn’t stay at the resort.

The hotel is a little expensive, but I felt it was worth it. The rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable, though the pillows were lumpy. From airport pickup through drop-off, everything seemed carefully thought through. I ate breakfast at the boat restaurant every day and had dinner there once. The chef was capable and the meals were flavorful. Service was friendly and convenient, too. Yap, Micronesia, is simply amazing, clean and organized, almost manicured. It’s no surprise its premier diving resort reflects the place. I recommend it!
