Check-in and check-out are coordinated with flights that arrive and leave in the middle of the night, which is a real plus. The resort has the feel of an old plantation house, with modern comforts, spacious rooms, comfortable beds, and decent wifi. The Chinese manager, who seems to do a bit of everything, went above and beyond. He even drove us around the island for a full tour, completely gratis. The name is a bit misleading now, since three of the four dive shops have closed and only Manta remains. That didn’t stop us from using their services. It’s a short walk downhill, or you can accept the offered ride.

The owner was super friendly and helpful, and breakfast was nice. It’s a lovely place to stay on Yap, with clean rooms and a perfect location. A very good alternative for a stay on the island.
