We were three older women in the lower apartment during the off-season. The kitchen and bathroom had everything we needed, and the place was very well equipped, though I didn't fully understand the room layout. Message me privately if you'd like more information. Philippe was incredibly friendly and helpful, and took care of whatever needed attention. Thanks for a wonderful stay in a great area where nature and city life meet so easily. We weren't traveling by car, and for exploring Aix-en-Provence and nearby places, I'd say a rental car is a must. If hiking is your main reason for coming, you could weigh that up, since hiking and jogging trails start right outside the door.

The area is pleasant and seems well maintained, but I've run into the property's dog several times while out walking or running. The gate was open and the dog was out in the street, barking persistently as it came toward me on the public road. It never bit me, but its behavior toward passersby felt aggressive and was intimidating if you didn't know the animal. I had to stop completely to avoid provoking a bad reaction. Keeping the gate shut and controlling the dog better would make the surroundings safer and calmer for walkers, runners, and families.
