Grand Maison (3 Bedroom) is a quirky, spacious place with loads of character, and I loved it. Hubert was a delight and a great host. The kitchen was well equipped, the heating kept us warm, and the shower had good pressure. There's a massive bath, decent Wi-Fi and mobile service, and the town center and Christmas markets are an easy 35-minute walk on flat, straight roads. A couple of things kept this from being five stars. The advertised EV charger was just an outdoor plug for a granny charger. Also, when all three properties had a car, we sometimes had to move cars around so people could get in or out. And just so people know, there isn't a pony anymore. It died a couple of months ago, and my kid loves horses, so that had been part of why we picked the property.

Hubert made the weekend in the floating gardens feel so special. He welcomed us warmly, was there when we needed him, and gave us space too. The garden is a real little gem, tucked into the floating gardens, and having bikes and a rowboat to use was lovely. The towpath is only a five-minute walk away, then it's just a few minutes by bike into the center. We stayed in the little house, which was thoughtfully arranged and had everything we needed to feel at home. Breakfast was plentiful and excellent. Hubert was a big part of what made the visit so good. He was funny, generous, helpful and welcoming, while still giving us space. You can tell he really enjoys meeting people. A proper escape, just like the name says.

Hubert was so attentive and kind, and breakfast was delicious, with lots of fresh fruit and the best baguette. We felt at ease in the accommodation. The garden, with waterways all around and nature everywhere, is simply beautiful. Highly recommend it.
