The rooms and garden lights kept switching off. I understand the eco-friendly idea, but in an unfamiliar place you also need to feel safe. Although there’s a garage, we had to leave our bikes outside, behind a gated garden. The pool wasn’t accessible after 19:30, and breakfast didn’t start until 08:00. We had a long, very hot day ahead and wanted to get going earlier. Breakfast was yesterday’s toasted baguette, even though a boulangerie 400 metres away was open. One drink was included, coffee, tea, or juice, and a second coffee or tea cost €2.50. I’ve never run into that before. No value for money. We arrived at 16:25, I remember checking my watch because nobody seemed to answer the door. We asked if we could boil water for pasta. Most chambre d'hotes have let us use the kitchen, and I’ve never had to pay for a second drink. This B&B just isn’t for us. We didn’t get a very warm welcome. WiFi wasn’t working at all, and other guests at the gîte said the same. The rooms have no soundproofing, we could hear people talking and even yawning. The listed arrival time was 16:30.

The food was a highlight, both dinner and breakfast were incredible, like meals at a fine restaurant. Nathalie and Sébastien were attentive, cheerful, and very friendly. We came in from the Canal du Midi with muddy bikes and panniers, and they supplied cleaning spray and gave the bikes a secure spot in the garage. The Hirondelle room was spacious, the bathroom spotless, and the bed very comfortable. This beautiful, welcoming winemaker's house was a wonderful find. We’d definitely come back if we’re in the area again.

We’d love to come back after such a delightful New Year’s Eve. The owners were exceptionally kind, cheerful, and helpful. The guesthouse is lovely, with spacious, comfortable rooms and superb bedding. The owner cooked an excellent meal himself, using local produce, from aperitif through dessert. What a lovely place to discover, highly recommended. Thanks for the wonderful evening.
