Campanile Argenteuil

The room was extremely dirty and dusty, with insects, and even the coffee station was messy and obviously hadn’t been cleaned. The shower was decent, but cleanliness and service overall were terrible. When we arrived, the elevator was broken; looking at other reviews, it seems it had been out of order for a long time without anyone trying to fix it. We had to haul our heavy luggage up the stairs. A very disappointing stay, and I wouldn’t recommend it.

The room was filthy, with stains on the bed, pillows, toilet and curtains. The carpet looks like it’s from the 1800s, and there was mold in the corners, spider webs everywhere and a few bugs I’d never seen before. I took pictures. This is the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in, and anyone with basic hygiene standards should avoid it. Receptionist Mostafa apparently has no idea what customer service means, and Manager Moussa is incredibly rude.

It’s in a great spot for getting into town and being near the river Seine. The rooms need renovation, though, and it’s noisy. Staff also told me off for asking a question to the wrong person, who turned out to be the restaurant manager rather than the concierge.

The hotel was quiet and the rooms were clean. There’s a supermarket within 200 meters. Buffet meals had three options, warm food, cold food and desserts, for around 15 to 17 Euros, which seemed reasonable. Continental breakfast was included and was quite nice.
