Domaine des Brimbelles Hostel

The garden is a lovely place to linger, and three very sweet dogs come over to greet you. We spent a weekend here as four people, and the stay was perfect. The young couple who recently bought the gîte are lovely, energetic, and clearly keen to make it a real gem. Our ground-floor unit was the first one fully renovated, tastefully decorated, and had everything we needed, plus a view of the village church. After a good hike, we even got to use the jacuzzi. Behind the accommodation, a huge building is being renovated into several apartments. The whole property has a large garden and sits in the charming little village of Aubure. There are lovely hikes starting right from the house, and it's a peaceful place to unwind. It's an ambitious project, and we wish them all the best with it. We'll happily come back. 😊

We booked half-board and enjoyed a lovely dinner followed by a delicious breakfast. My girlfriend and I were hiking the GR5, and this gîte d'étape is only a few minutes from the trail, which was fantastic. The building is still being renovated, but it already had everything we needed and should look beautiful once the work is done. There's a little shop just a few meters away for picking up supplies.

Mariane and Julien, the new owners, welcomed us so warmly. We spent three nights at this little mountain hideaway, and we'll definitely return.

Breakfast was generous, with several kinds of bread, toast, butter, jam, coffee, and tea. The room was spacious and clean, with comfortable bedding and a garden view. We got a very warm welcome from the owner, and the homemade Italian meals were delicious. I recommend staying here.
