Villa Aigarden maison d'hôtes

The peaceful garden and pool were perfect for cooling off after our days out exploring the region. We spent three wonderful days in this charming guesthouse in Avignon, where Carole welcomed us warmly and looked after us from the moment we arrived. Our comfortable room was spotless and tastefully decorated, which makes sense since Carole is an interior designer. Breakfast was generous, varied, and served in a beautiful, calm setting. It’s a haven of peace close to Avignon’s center. We’ll gladly return. Thank you, Carole and Jean-Jacques, for making our stay such a success.

For three years now, this villa has been my peaceful retreat during the Avignon Theatre Festival. Tucked away from the street, it has three comfortable bedrooms, all beautifully and tastefully decorated, with views over a magnificent garden. The garden is lush and green, and there are comfortable lounge chairs under parasols beside the pool, so even if museums or theatre aren’t your thing, you might be tempted to return here on your next visit to the region. Breakfast is delicious and very complete, with regional products, fruit salad, homemade jams and yogurts, and more. We eat on the front steps in the shade of the majestic plane trees, overlooking the oleanders and the lovely pool at the end of the garden. Carole and Jean-Jacques are attentive hosts and are always happy to offer advice about theatre or sightseeing in the region.

The owners are so welcoming, and the house has loads of character with really tasteful decor. A lovely place to stay near Avignon. Don't hesitate.
