That mussels with Boursin combination was a surprise, but it worked so well. We also had duck confit and duck magret, and both were excellent. The restaurant feels cozy and is beautifully decorated. We stayed two nights in the simple, very comfortable rooms and slept really well. The traditional auberge is right in the centre of Baudinard. We’d happily recommend it and come back as soon as we can.

From here, it’s easy to head out hiking, cycling, motorcycling, or drive to the lake, which is 10-15 minutes away. The view is extraordinary, and Baudinard is a lovely little town. It’s a small, pleasant hotel with very friendly staff. We enjoyed both dinner in the restaurant and time on the terrace. Breakfast and dinner are also open to people who aren’t staying here. The ingredients come from local markets, and the chef is happy to talk through the recipes. We found the staff very responsive whenever we had a question or request.

Such a cozy little hotel, and the food was excellent at both dinner and breakfast. Even the bread came out warm. Absolutely recommend it!

We had a really nice stay in this warm, welcoming hotel, tucked into a beautiful little French village. The restaurant is amazing and the prices are very competitive. Our room on the top floor got very hot and could use air conditioning. The Wi-Fi also barely worked, which is a real problem since there’s no phone signal. Still, the atmosphere and the staff’s welcome made it easy to forget those issues during the stay.

We went back for breakfast a couple of times while staying in Baudinard sur Verdon. There was a fantastic choice at the buffet, and the service was friendly and welcoming. I’d definitely recommend it.
