We left in the middle of the night. It felt unsafe, and I wouldn’t recommend staying here. The listing photos don’t show the hostel’s current state, and the decor is dated, more like the 1930s. We’d booked a double room with a balcony through Booking.com, but the bedding was very poor and the bin in the adjoining room hadn’t been emptied. When we collected the keys, we were given the wrong room. The owner was helpful in sorting that out, but later someone tried to get into our room and made a racket trying to enter their own, probably the owner. Avoid this hostel.

Friends of mine stayed in the spring and left because the place was so filthy. They’d booked through Booking.com, where payment was taken straight away, which seemed odd, and they never got a refund. The photos had made it look nice, but the real place was completely different. Avoid it. It ought to be shut down.

The accommodation did the job, but I wouldn’t choose it for a holiday. The window in my room had no curtains, which was a rude surprise. The photos on Booking and other sites don’t match how it looks now, and I got the impression it hadn’t been maintained for a long time. Maybe I happened to arrive at a bad time.

The room had a strong smell of vomit and urine, with little incense candles trying to cover it up. The sheets were worn and had suspicious brown marks, and a chair collapsed when I sat down, though I’m not heavy. Earlier, the young man who greeted me had questionable hygiene, and the entrance was piled with old, stale clothes and cigarette butts. The narrow stairs made me fall about ten times while carrying my luggage, and he didn’t help. I almost felt he was making fun of me. When I asked about taking a shower, he pointed me to a room. Inside, there was mold everywhere, along with showy displays and questionable paintwork around the building. I got out of this dump, this homeless shelter. Whatever you do, don’t go there, keep your money. I’m going to report it to social services.
