Casa Rurale Lou Pichoun Nis

What made the stay work for us was how quiet and tucked away the place is. It sits among trees, with sheep in the neighboring gardens and a friendly dog who came by each morning for cuddles. The hostess was warm, cheerful and helpful, and her husband was just as friendly. Breakfast was lovely, especially the fresh homemade jams and preserves, which we ate by the pool. We stayed five days while driving around Provence, and the location suited our plans: close to the highway and easy to reach from the toll booth, but outside the town center and away from bars and noise. Our room wasn't huge, though it was comfortable and had a large shower. There was also a nearby room with a fridge and drying rack. Everything felt clean and cool, and with the window screens we didn't need the air conditioning, even during the hot spell. The pool looked spotless and inviting, though we were out most of the day and didn't use it. There is a TV, but we never switched it on. Wi-Fi was unreliable and phone reception poor. That was a bonus for us since we wanted a break from screens, but it could be frustrating if you need to stay connected. A quiet, secluded place suited our trip perfectly. Anyone after a more urban or convenience-focused stay might feel differently.
