B&B HOTEL Belfort

The only real advantages were wheelchair access and check-in available 24/7. Otherwise, I wouldn't recommend this place for the price. It's an okay place to sleep, but there are surely better options in this price range. The highway is right beside this budget hostel, and it's very loud. A huge curtain muffles it somewhat, but makes opening the window basically impossible. There's no notable view, and walking into town feels extremely dangerous. The room is full of "friendly reminders": hang towels to dry because fresh ones aren't provided daily, smoking means an 80€ charge automatically taken from your card, and close the windows and turn off the air conditioning when leaving. They say it's about "helping us save the planet," but it feels like a way to cut costs. There's no toothpaste, soap, or trash bin. No staff are around at night. When I asked the desk lady for another towel for my wife, since we had only been given one, she was very irritated and told us to dry it, though I eventually persuaded her. No one here speaks English or German, and most information is only in French. We woke to a drill at 7:30 in the morning. Late checkout after 10 costs a horrendous amount, as does breakfast at this "B&B."
