Ibis Styles Belfort Centre

The staff were friendly and gave us a nice welcome. We had a family room for one night, which did the job, and the sheets were clean with fresh towels. Breakfast was included, though the choice was small and simple. The rooms were small, worn, and dated, with tired furniture marked by years of use, including some holes. The room shown on the website looked a whole lot newer and nicer than the real one.

After a 300 mile drive, the only hot drink I could get mid-afternoon was a small coffee from a machine, with just one kind of coffee and no milk. The entrance area looked untidy, with overflowing wet rubbish bins on both sides of the door, and the young woman at reception wasn't very welcoming. We'd stayed at ibis styles before and had good experiences. The light by the bed had a bare hanging bulb and shade, so they moved us to another room, but that bathroom had black mold on the wall and ceiling. Breakfast and parking were good.

The price was good for what you get, and the location near the center worked well. The room was comfortable overall, though the ceiling was a little low, and it had a hair dryer. Breakfast was okay but not very varied. The maid was really kind and helpful. On our last day, before checkout, the elevator broke down, and the maintenance and repair were unsatisfactory.

The rooms aren't much to look at, but they did the job. The hotel is extremely well located for what's available in the little town. There's no microwave or water boiler in the room, though that's not essential.
