We stayed here the night before flying back to Canada and were really pleased with it. There are lots of shops nearby, and even a cool bar in the same parking lot. The rooms have air conditioning, and the Brazilian man working at reception and the bar was amazing. He helped us with everything we needed for our 10 month old. Highly recommend.

Everything was fine at this hotel near Lyon's industrial area, but the cleaning service needs improvement.

The free parking has plenty of space, and the hotel is in a handy spot close to a shopping center. Staff were friendly, and the rooms were comfortable enough for a budget stay. It would be useful to have a small fridge in the room, especially for anyone staying five or more days. Aside from that, it was a good, affordable place to stay.

The staff were courteous, but communicating was a struggle if you don't speak French. They had virtually no English, so I ended up using Google Translate even for simple questions, which got frustrating. I also paid for breakfast during my week at "ibis budget Lyon Est Beynost," and found the options pretty basic: bread, cheese, butter, jam, low-cost waffles, and fruit, most of which looked canned and had just been poured into a bowl. The room had a bed, a small chair, a few outlets, a sink by the toilet, and a shower. There was no closet, safe, or even toilet brush. Each day, they left just one roll of toilet paper, so I had to ration it. I’ve stayed in plenty of budget hotels and chose this one as the cheapest option while exploring the Lyon area, but I was still surprised by what was missing. For a week-long stay, I’d suggest spending an extra 20 euros a night somewhere else. It could still be a budget option, and the stay would likely be much more comfortable.
