Fleur de Loire

The hotel is gorgeous and elegant, with large, beautifully furnished rooms and superb linens. Staff were pleasant and helpful, including with storing and charging our e-bikes. We spent two nights here while biking the Loire Valley, and all four of us would have stayed longer if we could. The pool is lovely. We didn't try the restaurant, though we did order food at the bar, and that was below what you'd expect at a hotel of this caliber. The bartender was great but also had to serve outdoor guests and room service, while the kitchen was very slow. Our burgers took over an hour, and the pasta bolognese came without sauce, with no extra sauce available. They did remove it from our bill. I highly recommend the hotel.

A great hotel for the area, on the luxurious side. I came mainly to try the Michelin starred restaurant by Christopher Hay, and was very impressed. I couldn't use the spa because of the recent fire.

There’s something special about this place. It sits on the Loire with a view of the town of Blois, in a historic building that’s been turned into a relaxing, enjoyable retreat. The rooms and the building are beautiful and tidy, and there’s a private vegetable garden. Breakfast comes with a view of the Loire. The people are friendly, the food delicious, and the cocktails tasty. The spa and wellness center are beautifully designed. We wish you lots of success, and if we holiday in this region again, we already know where we'll stay.

We came in April with our children, who were 6 and 3, and Fleur de Loire turned out to feel much more geared to adults looking for a quiet spa break. We could use the indoor pool, but the children’s noise felt out of place in the calm setting, and we were a little uncomfortable about it. The food and drinks were excellent, though the menus had few choices for young kids. We also struggled to arrange babysitting because communication was difficult and availability limited. The Prestige room was spotless, roomy, and very comfortable. Its Loire River view was somewhat restricted, so the Duplex Suite may suit anyone wanting a better one. The hotel is beautifully designed, modern, and luxurious, and its location makes it easy to explore the Loire Valley, with most major castles about a 30-60 minute drive away. It’s still a stunning place, and I’d recommend it to couples or families with older children.
