The room was generously sized, which made handling our large luggage easier. The staff were especially nice and helpful, and that was the best part of our positive stay at Hotel De Tourny. We mentioned a few issues at checkout: the Wi-Fi was poor, and sound travelled between rooms and from above. There are also bars across the street from the main entrance. The lack of a Smart TV stood out, and the technology overall wasn’t good.

We had to leave for a river cruise the next day, and the staff safely kept our bags while we spent more time exploring Bordeaux. Lots of places are walkable, and the hotel is in a very safe, upmarket neighbourhood. It was also really economical for such a charming boutique hotel. I researched a lot before booking and was so glad we chose it. The reception was outstanding. When we asked to eat breakfast in the chilly courtyard, the owner specially set a table for us and brought cushions for the sitting area. The food was fresh, with a great variety. My single room was on the small side, but that was fine since I only slept there. It was clean, quiet, well laid out, and had a comfortable bed. My sister and her husband had a bigger room, and it was gorgeous. The hotel has real character, charm, and great staff. I don’t think you’ll find a better place at this price. If we return to Bordeaux, we’ll stay here, hands down.

I booked a compact single on the top floor, but the clever setup of the furniture, storage, shower, and toilet made it feel roomy. There’s a lift, too. With Bordeaux in the middle of a heatwave, the air conditioning was fab, and the bed was comfy. The lovely Rituals toiletries were a welcome extra. I was pleasantly surprised by this little gem. The reception team were really friendly and helpful, and the interior felt airy and tastefully designed. I can’t fault the hotel and will be back. Thanks for a lovely stay.

With only 12 rooms, this boutique hotel feels private, and you don’t get noisy crowds filling the floors. Its location is excellent, close to Bordeaux’s attractions. The staff were friendly, helpful, and very professional, especially compared with our other encounters with people in Bordeaux. They gave us good restaurant and itinerary tips, and were impressively efficient at booking a cab, which isn’t easy in Bordeaux. The hotel was cozy and welcoming, and our interactions with the staff were always pleasant. They made the stay really enjoyable. Highly recommended!

Our weekend was great. The location is close to central Bordeaux, and you can walk everywhere from there. Rooms were clean, and the staff were friendly, polite, and very helpful. Single rooms might feel a bit small to some, but if you’re out seeing the city, there’s so much to do that it doesn’t matter.
