Château De Lazenay - Résidence Hôtelière

The staff we met were friendly and really helpful, and the bed was comfortable. The room was very clean, but quite dark, with dim lighting. The building looks beautiful from outside, though the surroundings felt rather bland and it's been split into small units. We also had trouble getting our 4x4 through the narrow entrance, so take care.

A quiet, lovely spot beside the lake. The room was large, and having a kitchenette was handy. You need to ask for things like cutlery and glasses, though, and there isn't a kettle.

The room was spotless and had a small kitchenette, and it was very peaceful and quiet. The chateau sits in a beautiful area, with a park and a walking path near the lake. The women at the front desk gave us a warm welcome and knew the area well.

The place itself is lovely, right by the lake, but the male manager put us off coming back. He first complained that we were having breakfast at the wrong table, even though five tables were empty. Later, he got into a loud, angry argument with a woman guest. It seemed she had tried to use the coffee machine without permission, and within minutes they were shouting at each other. A real shame.
