We loved the colourful paintings, quirky decor, and all the artifacts in this little B&B. The welcome was warm, the breakfast was great, and it’s right in the city centre. Brilliant for us.

A beautiful, quirky place, and the host made us feel so welcome. Nothing seemed like too much trouble. Really lovely stay, highly recommended.

The large garden, often dotted with artworks, gives Le Cèdre Bleu a personal, artistic feel. It’s a characterful guesthouse in Bourges, quite different from a standard hotel, and a good fit if you want somewhere a bit unusual and inspiring. The welcome is often praised as warm and friendly. The hosts are described as available and happy to share tips for seeing the city, which helps the place feel like a home away from home. Breakfast is said to be generous and good, sometimes shared at a table with other guests. The rooms are generally clean, comfortable, quiet, and close to the historic centre. Their older or quirky decor is part of the charm, though it may not suit everyone who prefers a modern style. The location also makes it easy to walk to the cathedral, the marshes, and the historic centre.
