We were treated like royalty by the staff, and the room was spotless. Such a delight!

I expect the owner will respond, so I want to explain how he has handled customers who paid but say they never got to enjoy the room. He cancels the booking and refunds only 2-3 euros, which seems intended to stop customers from being able to leave a review. The property looks much better in carefully chosen photos than it did in person. They show the best room, while the others are mostly kitchenette-sized, with a bathroom like a closet. My room smelled like a canal, and after hours of arguing with him about the conditions, he moved me to another one. My friends arrived at 18.00, but he wouldn't leave their room keys with me so I could give them the keys when they got there. They had to book another hotel. From what I've read, he does this to many customers without even trying to resolve the problems. He takes money for something he hasn't delivered, then refunds 2-3 euros so you can't review the stay and warn others about his practices.
